How to maintain eyes health

We sometimes often forget to take care of eyes health. Though the eyes are included in the five most important senses in the human body. Without eyes, we cannot see the beauty of the world and the faces of those closest to us. To ensure that your eyes stay healthy as you get older, here are ways to take care of your eyes health:


1. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables
One of the vegetables that is useful for maintaining eyes health is carrots. Carrots are loaded with beta carotene which is very helpful in maintaining eyes health. That's because beta carotene is an antioxidant that can reduce the risk of macular degeneration.

2. Reduce the use of eyes drops
Reducing the use of eyes drops. Using eyes drops to treat red eyes is okay, but only occasionally. If excessive, it will actually damage the health of your eyes.

3. Use cucumbers

7. Avoid cigarettes
Besides being bad for lung health, smoking actually increases the risk of eyes disorders such as cataracts, macular degeneration and damage to the retinal nerve.

8. Use sunglasses

9. Perform routine eyes examinations
Perform routine checks to the eyes specialist, at least once a year. Early detection is one of the best ways to maintain the health of our eyes.

10. Train the eyes and make it to relax
Try focusing your eyes on an object that is close to you, an object that is some distance away. Repeat this process several times.
Sit down, place your elbows on your hips, close your eyes and close your eyes with your palms. Keep the palm of your hand covering your eyes for 10 seconds. Open your eyes and repeat as needed
